Who’s the course for? Songwriters of all levels who want to unleash their creativity. We’ll be looking at using simple routes into songwriting such as lyric devices, song form and structure, and  basic chord structure. We’ll also be tackling the issue of writer’s block by using devices such as journaling, developing a musical ideas library, and improvisation.

This is a short introductory course looking at the theory of songwriting; it is aimed at reigniting your creativity and giving a basic overview into development techniques. Practical songwriting will be delat with in the follow on course "Songwriter's Workshop" will be held later in the year.
